Thread utilization & Message Driven Beans

In our performance optimization work we believet that we are not necessarily getting
the best thread utilization out of Weblogic. Our application is a message processing
application whose entry point are MDB's. All the MDB's are deployed in the same
ear. When we pump messages through the system we notice that beyond a few additional
threads we are not seeing better MDB utilization event though CPU utilization is
low, and messages are available in the queue. (All MDB's read of the same queue
and do roughly the same job). We are looking at other potential issues but I'm taking
a stab that maybe it would be better to have the MDB's deployed in several applications.
Any thoughts that I can go to management with?

Yes. That was the first thing to try.

Did you increase 'max-beans-in-free-pool' in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml ?
