My 6th generation nano is stuck in diagnostic mode. I tried resetting it but itunes does not recognize it. I've tried holding down various combinations of sleep, volume up and down without any success. Any thoughts?

Hopefully this will help you. Try placing your iPad in recovery mode again. You may have to try this a few times.
